Painting the Figure
I don't have problems using any software I have to get the best image possible. For me, it's all about what the image needs.

Obviously, if this was a specific 3D image, I would only use 3D software, but because this was an illustration with no constraints I could go HOG WILD!

That being said, I couldn't wait to drag the rendered Bryce image into Painter. Zygote's figures for Poser are stunning, but sometimes a little help is needed with Painter to fix the crumpling of the joints that occur during the actual posing process.

I start by using the Just Add Water brush and push the surrounding color into the crumples to cover them up. Touch up with a little airbrush then back to the Just Add Water brush to smooth out any brush strokes. That's usually it.

I also smooth out all shadow lines. I like to keep the skin as smooth as possible.

I always add a little shine to the nose. A John Singer Sargent trait.

The eyes were actually painted Painter shapes which were converted to floaters, airbrushed, then duplicated. This way I could nudge them around with the cursor keys until they were looking right at the viewer.
