It can also auto-detect the original file format and re-optimize to the same format, then automatically save to the proper folders. This unique feature will save Webmasters a lot of time when re-optimizing images already on their Web sites.
Users can specify specific files or folders to batch optimize and compress to specified or original file formats, resample images while retaining the original proportions, and re-name images as desired.
Enhanced compression options deliver better optimization results. Users can now set JPEG image quality as well as color quality (chroma) for better compression, while lossy GIF features allow for smaller GIF files. Users can also specify the amount of dithering for GIF and PNG formats as well as snap colors to a Web palette, lock palettes and specify GIF and JPEG transparency.
Powerful Graphics Production
New table management features deliver flexible slicing and full control over table layers like cell background, cell image and rollover image. Each layer can be optimized individually and users can load images or animations to any layer. This is especially useful for larger graphics that incorporate either rollover areas or animations. SmartSaver Pro automatically generates all of the HTML table code.
Added options for rollovers let users easily create advanced JavaScript rollovers including animated and audio rollovers and multiple rollovers for individual cells.

Visual open makes it easy to find the right graphics, while enhanced preview options allow not only IE and Netscape previews, but previews of simulated displays of the Apple Macintosh system, and a 256-color display. A special full screen preview mode lets users view and reposition images to an absolute position on the Web page and save it to the HTML code as well as update the HTML code for previous projects.
Expanded file format support allows users to import Photoshop files (.PSD) while retaining the layers in order to create an animated GIF. A convenient tab-based interface and customizable presets speed up the Web production process.
